A very successful lecture was given by Helen Allinson on Saturday 13th November; it was supported by 83 members of the public who learnt many interesting facts about Borden’s Past.

The Group will be taking part in the Borden Parish Council’s ‘Open Day’ on Saturday 20th November 10am until 12noon together with other local groups and societies.

The Group has recently been awarded a grant, from Grassroots for equipment, and also from Swale Borough Council Local Engagement Forum’s Community Project, towards start up costs.

Interest continues to grow for the website www.bordenheritage.org.uk and contact has been made with people from all over the world.

The first donation has been received, The ‘May’ outfits, they were originally used by children from Borden Village when dancing around the Maypole; investigations will be made re preservation and display.
